The event honored The Sealy & Smith Foundation for its 30 years of commitment to the Ronald McDonald House. John Kelso, president of the foundation, presented $500,000 to the Ronald McDonald House. The night’s special guest included Eduardo Andrade, who suffered massive burns on both arms, torso, left leg and head in an electrocution accident in Mexico. He stayed at the Ronald McDonald House twice a year for 10 years while receiving burn care at Shriners Hospital for Children in galveston. In June 2018, after more than 70 surgeries and thousands of rehabilitation hours, Andrade received his final checkup from Shriners and was released from the hospital’s care.
